New to Coaching? Coaching is not advice, therapy or counselling. Coaching, just as in athletics, is about team work. Clients will express a desire about something they would like to change in their life and together the client and coach will figure out different practices to address this.

Brian has extensive training in the dynamics of the Enneagram Personality Type System with the Enneagram Institute and uses this to help others explore the motivations behind patterns of behaviour and to respond out of the reality of each moment. This exploration will be unique for each person. It can take the form of exploring as an individual, joint exploration for those in relationship, or a team exploration with clients that work together (either professionally or voluntarily). The exploration will begin with a client when setting up a time for a session. The length of time and frequency of sessions will depend on whether it is individual, couple or teams and the time and resources available.

As your coach, Brian will be honest, straightforward, asking clarifying questions and make empowering requests. Brian’s role, as your coach, is to keep you focused on your goals, and to enable you to stay clear, on task and in action. The clients’ role, is to invest their energy in the process, take action to pursue goals, and accept full responsibility for the outcome of decisions, choices and actions.

Brian’s hope for all who he works with is that they will be able to respond from what they know to be true in the moment without reliving the past or worrying about the future. They will be able to catch themselves in the act of old patterns of behaviour, self-correct and create new ways of responding.

Brian is certified with the Enneagram Institute founded by Don Riso and Russ Hudson and is certified by the Deep Coaching Institute. The Deep Coaching Institute, founded by Roxanne Howe-Murphy, Ed.D., with a internationally recognized faculty, is accredited as an Enneagram School with the International Enneagram Association and approved as an ACSTH provider by the International Coach Federation.
